This Dunlap Made in USA smooth woodworking carpenter bench plane has been taken apart and cleaned slightly, preserving its integrity and patina. The plane’s japanning is in used condition, showing some minor loss and chipping. The knob and tote are in refinished condition with no cracks or repairs. Weight 2 lb 13 ozs. The plane measures 9-1/4″ x 2-1/8″. It is marked 3DBB on the left cheek. The sole and cheeks have minor pitting and scratches but have cleaned up well. The cutter has the DUNLAP Made in USA logo, it measures: 7-1/4″ x 1-3/4″. It weighs 2lbs 12oz. This definitely was the “go to” work horse bench plane. I always suggest sharpening the cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge.
