Detailed Information Description
This is a fine primitive carpenters handmade mortise marking gauge scribe. It is made extra long and measures 21″ L x 3-1/2″ W. It has a carved wooden handle & thumb screw that tightens/loosens so head slides easily, it is in good operating condition. The bar has a sharp grooved scribe slitter. It has the owners name inscribed on it several times. It has survived tool box scars and dings and in relatively good condition for being over 100+ years old. It has a great feel and patina.
